A National Celebration of Cultural Identity

About the Pageant

Miss ZIMBO Culture Pageant is a prestigious national platform dedicated to honouring Zimbabwe’s rich cultural heritage. Created by MAZ Arts and Culture, the pageant empowers young women to embrace their roots, celebrate their identity, and showcase the customs, stories, and traditions that define our nation.

Every year, contestants from all ten provinces unite to represent the beauty, pride, and historical depth of Zimbabwean culture.

Our Story

Miss ZIMBO Culture Pageant

Celebrating heritage and embracing identity are pivotal aspects of understanding oneself and one’s place in the world. Heritage encompasses the traditions, customs, and values passed down through generations, playing a crucial role in shaping our identities. By honouring our heritage, we connect with our ancestors and preserve the rich tapestry of cultural narratives that define us. Embracing identity, on the other hand, involves recognizing and accepting all facets of who we are, including our cultural, ethnic, and personal attributes. This acceptance fosters a sense of belonging and pride, enabling us to contribute authentically to our communities. In a diverse society, celebrating heritage and embracing identity not only enriches our personal lives but also promotes mutual respect, understanding, and unity among different cultures.

We are proudly Zimbabwean and proudly African.

We are complementing the government, the Chief’s Council who are the custodians of our culture, and above all, we are supporting the Cultural Ambassador of Zimbabwe Her Excellency The First Lady Dr Auxilia Mnangagwa in her efforts in restoring and preserving our culture, which is under threat from erosion and extinction due to negative attributes of globalisation.

Miss ZIMBO Culture Pageant is here to groom and promote the growth of the girl child whose principles and values should be anchored on UBUNTU.

The pageant encourages contestants to be bold, educated, compassionate, and proud ambassadors of their communities.

Our Vision

Our vision is to nurture a generation of young women who stand tall in their identity and represent Zimbabwe on both national and global platforms.
We aim to create a future where cultural expression is celebrated, traditional craftsmanship thrives, and every young woman embraces her roots with confidence and pride.
